If you want your puppy to grow up and be comfortable around all kinds of people, in all kinds of life situations with you and others, and get along with other dogs, Puppy Socialization Classes are CRITICAL! We offer multiple Playful Pup classes every week for your convenience and there is no set curriculum so you don’t have to worry about missing a class, come when it is convenient for you!

During Playful Pup Classes, you will observe your puppy:

  • Developing positive associations to DOGS!
  • Burning off some puppy energy in a fun and safe space
  • Learning polite dog/dog and dog/human social interactions
  • Understanding body awareness
  • Appropriately setting and respecting boundaries
  • Comprehending how to use a soft mouth

Your Playful Pup Class Trainer may talk about:

  • Dog body language
  • Basic obedience commands
  • How to help your pup with setting and respecting play boundaries
  • How to help your pup feel more secure around other dogs and people
  • Several tips from our professional trainers on how to raise a well-balanced pup
  • And much more!

On very rare occasions, you may show up and be the only puppy in class. If this happens, your trainer will be sure to provide you with a great one-on-one lesson addressing dog/dog and dog/human socialization until you can get into a class with more puppies – again, this is rare, but it does occasionally happen, especially during the times of year in which people are vacationing and/or traveling!


Please note - we do require payment for any Saturday or Sunday Playful Pup Class at least 24 hours before class start time. If payment is not received in time, we will be unable to add your pup to that class.

  • Payment

    Payment must be made prior to class to ensure a spot in this class. Noble Beast Dog Training does not cancel classes due to low enrollment. 

  • Missed Classes

    No-shows or cancelation with less than 12 hour notice will result in the loss of that session and make-ups are not possible.  


  • Refund of Training

    A full credit or refund will be issued to any client who cancels the enrollment for a within 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of the class they have paid for. 


    Valid exceptions to the Refund and Credit Policy are dog relinquishments, illness or death (dog or human).

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    How often should my puppy attend Playful Pup?

    As often as possible during the socialization window — which closes around 20 weeks. We offer multiple sessions every week specifically so you can come frequently without it being a burden. The more positive social experiences your puppy has during this stage, the better.


    My puppy has only had one or two vaccines. Is it safe to come to class?

    This is one of the most common questions we hear — and it's a great one. Noble Beast follows an age-appropriate, veterinarian-approved vaccine protocol based on the guidelines of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, which recommends that puppies begin socialization classes before their vaccine series is complete. The socialization benefits of early classes outweigh the minimal risk of disease exposure in a clean, controlled training environment. In our 18 years in Denver, we have never had a disease outbreak of any kind. As always, consult your vet if you have specific concerns about your puppy's individual health history.


    What if I show up and my puppy is the only one in class?

    It happens occasionally — especially during vacation seasons. If your puppy is the only one in class, your trainer will provide a focused one-on-one lesson covering dog-to-dog and dog-to-human socialization, body language, and early foundation skills. You still get tremendous value from that session.


    What age does my puppy need to be to start Playful Pup?

    Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old. The class is designed for puppies up to 20 weeks. After 20 weeks we recommend transitioning to Camp B.A.R.K. for continued socializstaion and our Delightful Dog beginner obedience class, picking up exactly where Playful Pup leaves off.


    What happens after Playful Pup — what's next for my puppy?

    The natural next step is our Delightful Dog Class — Noble Beast's beginner obedience program where your puppy learns the nine foundation skills every well-behaved dog needs. Many Playful Pup graduates also add Camp B.A.R.K. for continued socialization as they grow. Your Noble Beast trainer can help you map out the perfect journey for your specific puppy.


    Do you use any punishment or corrections in Playful Pup?

    Never. Playful Pup is entirely fear-free and positive reinforcement based. This is a safe, warm, welcoming space for puppies and their people — no corrections, no fear, no intimidation of any kind.


    Where are Playful Pup classes held in Denver?

    Classes are held at our main training location on Vine Street in Denver, and 2 other pocket lociations.  Check our current schedule for available days and times and locations!
