Mike Livingston

NB Certified Dog Guardian Trainer

With over eight years dedicated to animal behavioral enrichment, Mike brings a wealth of hands-on experience and compassion to Noble Beast Dog Training. His journey has taken him through roles at shelters-including the Dumb Friends League-as well as a variety of independently owned day camps, boarding, and training facilities. Throughout his career, Mike has championed positive reinforcement, using evidence-based, humane methods that foster trust and learning between dogs and their people.

Mike’s expertise shines brightest in the world of Nosework enrichment, a field he credits for shaping his approach and deepening his understanding of canine behavior. As a certified Nosework instructor, he excels at helping dogs tap into their natural instincts, turning training into a fulfilling and enriching experience for both dog and handler.

Growing up on his grandfather’s farm in Boise, Idaho, Mike developed a lifelong love for animals and nature. This early connection inspired his ongoing commitment to animal welfare and environmental stewardship. In addition to his work with dogs, Mike holds a certification in Beekeeping from Colorado State University, equipping him with science-based knowledge to care for honeybee colonies in the unique Mountain West climate.

Mike is also an active volunteer at 4 Mile Historic Park, where he shares his time and skills in animal care, beekeeping, gardening, and educational field trips. Like his grandfather before him, Mike is a preservationist at heart, dedicated to nurturing the world around him and fostering growth in every relationship-especially those with dogs, who remain at the very center of his passion and purpose.
